Facts About the Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) will help reduce Virginia’s growing uninsured population, address the challenges that families across the state face in finding affordable health insurance and maintaining the coverage they do have, and offer more affordable options for small businesses to purchase health insurance for their family of employees.

Since the ACA became law on March 23, 2010, Virginia’s seniors, women, youth and those with pre-existing conditions are getting better health care and saving money on their health care costs. And when the law is fully implemented in 2014, all Virginians will benefit.
